To qualify, applicants must be at least 16 -- and if they're 18 or older, they must be registered voters. A poll worker also must be a U.S. citizen, proficient in basic math and English and a Wayne County resident.
Compensation ranges from $87.50 to $175 per election day based on classification and assignment.
Applicants must apply in person at the Detroit Election Commission, 2978 W. Grand Blvd., from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. through Friday (3/28)
