Donald Braswell, a top 5 finalist on Season 3 of NBC’s America's Got Talent” program, is looking to find his niche audience on PBS and Detroit Public Television is providing the opportunity for him to do so on Sunday, March 15.
Donald Braswell's energy, voice and appeal captivate audiences worldwide. His ability to sing a diverse repertoire from operatic arrangements to adult contemporary has made him an overnight sensation that inspires audiences to believe anything is possible. During a series of performances in 1995 with the Welsh National Opera, Donald was struck by a car while cycling through Wales. He suffered severe damage to his throat and was told by doctors that he might not be able to sing or speak normally again. Working diligently he was able to regain the normal use of his voice. Now he’s on his way, performing for audiences everywhere including PBS!

I am so glad that Donald Braswell will be taping this concert with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra as his vocal range and quality are so strong and outstanding. This man can capture the audience with what ever he sings!!! I will be looking forward to the airing of this FANTASTIC CONCERT.
ReplyDeleteAnyone that has seen and heard Donald Braswell will be looking forward to his appearance on PBS. He is simply the best artist of today. His talent is unlimited. He is the only singer (I have ever heard) that can sing it all with perfection whether opera, pop or ballads. His operatic vocal range is almost unbelievable. It will be a great treat for PBS viewers that have never heard him sing.
ReplyDeleteWhen PBS says they bring you the best, they really mean it. Donald Braswell's unbelievable vocal range, passion, and charisma will take your breath away. He raises the expectation of excellence a step above fantabulous!
ReplyDeleteI am so disappointed that my local PBS won't be airing the Donald Braswell New Beginnings concert scheduled for March 15th at 8:00 pm on Detroit PBS. I saw this fabulous entertainer at his recent one-night concert at the Hilton Hotel in Las Vegas. It was a sellout and he was FANTASTIC. He has fans all over the country many of whom came to Vegas to see him perform and meet with him afterwards. As well as being a phenominally talented man, he's a lovely human being without an ounce of conceit in spite of being (in my humble opinion) the greatest singer I've heard in my lifetime. I predict we will be seeing a LOT more of him in the coming year.
ReplyDeleteI am sorry that I live in a state that will not get the PBS Detroit program featuring Donald Braswell.
ReplyDeleteThose who can are in for a wonderful treat to hear this remarkable singer. I hope PBS does another show with Mr. Braswell that will be shown nationally so that our PBS station can run it.
I intend to call and make a donation to the Detroit PBS station during Mr. Braswell's performance and get his DVD on March 15th. from 8:00 until 9:00pm.
I too saw Donald in Las Vegas and he was magnificent! This PBS concert is so exciting. I can't wait to get a DVD of it. I understand we can call 1-800-859-9887 on March 15th 7pm eastern to order it. I don't get Detroit's PBS, but I'm planning to join it, so I can get that priceless DVD! After that, I hope I will be seeing him in concert with the Detroit Orchestra!
ReplyDeleteI am so happy that Donald will be appearing on PBS. I cannot wait to purchase Donald's DVD. I saw him in person in San Antonio, Tx, and he is the most phenomenal talent I have ever seen. He has the most magnificent voice and stage presence. His voice is filled with passion and emotion. He is also a warm, compassionate, beautiful human being.
ReplyDeleteI would like to thank PBS for taping Donald Braswell. I hope PBS will decide to show him in all states. There are thousands of music lovers that are grateful for entertainers like Donald. We are at main stream media's mercy with artists we don't enjoy. Donald is one of the greatest voices of today. Such a pleasure to see him in concert. PBS' interest in better music is a gift to all who love beautiful music. Thank you for bringing this wonderful man with the golden voice to our homes. No artist, that I can think of, brings as much hope, joy and great listening as Donald Braswell. He is just simply the best, such a joy to see and hear. Thank you from Detroit. I can't wait.
ReplyDeleteI had the wrong time on my last post. Call I 1-800-859-9887 on March 15th 8pm eastern. Anyone wanting to keep up with Donald Doings should join our fan club at www.donaldbraswellfanclub.org.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous opportunity for the Detroit area! When Donald Braswell sings, magic happens and your soul takes flight! His story of not giving up is an inspiration to everyone who hears him. If he can sing as he does despite the terrible accident, there is hope for all of us to keep striving to make our dreams come true. Miracles are waiting to happen!
ReplyDeleteI live in Idaho and followed Mr Braswell throughout season 3 on America's Got Talent. I am very pleased to see he is going to be on PBS. I do wish we could see it in Idaho. Will you by any chance be doing a streaming video of the show? Or perhaps this will also show in Idaho. He has the most wonderful voice. I know he will be a household name soon. Kudo's to PBS for having him.
