The Detroit Pistons 9th Annual Sprite Kids' Night Job Shadow Program - A great and unique experience for kids!
My son went to a Detroit Pistons Basketball game at the Palace last Sunday, but this time with a twist!
He was selected to participate in the Detroit Pistons 9th Annual Sprite Kids’ Night Job Shadow Program! Not only did he get the opportunity to “go to work” with his favorite sports team, but he also received a “salary” that included two free tickets to the January 31st game for himself and a me, food vouchers, a Detroit Pistons shirt and duffel bag, and his own Ben Wallace bobble head! Sweet!
His job was to work as a greeter in guest services seating folks in section 115 for two hours. While he was working, his father and I had dinner and drinks in one of the Palace restaurants.
My kid had a great time and he got a little taste of working in the real world. One of my co-workers said that my son was shown on TV during the game - now I wish I had thought to set the DVR!
This is a great program and I commend the Detroit Pistons and the Palace staff for giving all the kids in this program a great and unique experience.
