FREE DSO Concert at the River Days Festival

For its fourth consecutive year the DSO will appear at River Days for a free, summertime outdoor performance featuring classical favorites, including selections by famed movie score composer John Williams, as well as Irving Berlin, Morton Gould, Tchaikovsky and others, along Detroit’s beautifully restored RiverWalk just south of Atwater near Rivard.
River Days, presented by the Detroit RiverFront Conservancy, is a three-day family-oriented festival that takes place June 19 through June 21 and focuses on showcasing Detroit’s dynamic RiverFront. New this year, there is a $3 admission charge to the Detroit River Festival, but free admission will be offered until 5 p.m. on June 18 and during the first hour of the festival (11 a.m. -- noon) June 19 and June 20. Admission also will be waived June 21 for the 52nd Annual Target Fireworks.
