The Detroit Children’s Museum is pleased to announce its first FREE PNC Family Fun Day on Saturday July 24
Visitors to the museum can enjoy free admission and an array of special activities, including arts and crafts, storytelling, games and a special guest appearance by “Dan Dan the Choo Choo Man” from 12-3 p.m. (weather permitting).
The Children’s Museum, a partnership between Detroit Public Schools and the Detroit Science Center, has long been one of Detroit’s cultural gems. Now part of the Detroit Science Center experience, the Children’s Museum features a collection of more than 100,000 artifacts, a “touch the stars” planetarium; a new pre-school area, and hands-on art and activity stations. The museum offers visitors a unique look at world cultures, art, history and science.
PNC Family Fun Days are made possible by the PNC Foundation. The program is part of PNC Grow Up Great, a 10-year, $100 million initiative to improve early childhood education.
