Here is a highlight of the FREE activities you can do this weekend in the metro Detroit area and beyond:

Wayne State will have their weekly FREE Planetarium Show in the lower level of the Old Main Building on the corner of Cass and Warren. The show is called "Wonders of the Universe".

Angelina Jolie's movie "Salt" opens in theaters on Friday.  So make sure to read guest blogger Liz Parker's movie review and play the FREE Salt online game to get ready for the movie.

Remember to take the kids to the FREE Lowes Build and Grow Kids Clinic at 10am on Saturday.  This time those lucky kids are making a space ship!

Kids can also get crafty on Saturday at the FREE Kids Crafts Event at Lakeshore in Sterling Heights starting at 11am where the kids will be making a summertime fan.  That's a great item to have in this heat!

The Detroit Children's Museum just reopened an they are celebrating with a FREE day on Saturday sponsored by PNC.

Also on Saturday is the FREE Outdoor Concert at 12 Mile Crossing Novi featuring Blues Trio Count Bracey and the Pleasuretones.
