Course Description: An introduction to the basics of web development. This online course covers WordPress and GIMP. This course is lead by a live instructor. The entire Web Academy web site was built with WordPress. After completing this course, you will have the necessary skills to build a web site like the Web Academy web site.

In exchange for learning web design for FREE, students are required to take on at least 3 web development projects for non-profit organizations. Working on these real life web projects with real web clients gives students actual work experience in the web industry while giving back to those in need.
