Today through Tuesday of this week, 100 Technology and Green Bloggers from around the country will descend on our Motor City to attend a two day Ford Technology Green Event in Dearborn, MI. I initially thought that all the bloggers were "Mom" bloggers, but I have been informed that the group is a cross section of bloggers including some mom bloggers.
During the Ford Consumer Electronics Show (CES) Press Conference, it was announced that Ford will produce a "green" electric version of the Ford Focus with more details and pricing to be announced this week at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS). The photo above of Ford CEO Alan Mulally and the new electric Ford Focus was taken by me at the Ford Press Conference at CES. Watch for my review of the press conference tomorrow.
The Tech and Green bloggers will get an up close view of the green Ford Focus and learn the details that will go into the vehicle production. The bloggers will also get to preview all the cars at the North American International Auto Show. For those who are wondering, even though I am a Ford employee and a blogger, I was not invited to attend this Ford Technology Green Event. But everyone can follow the bloggers' conversations on Twitter using the hashtag #fordgreen.
