On Thursday, February 24, Bruegger’s is feeding Michigan with its first ever “Free Soup Day.” The popular bakery-cafe is offering guests a free cup of soup from 12 p.m. - 2 p.m. as a fundraiser to benefit Gleaners, Mid-Michigan Food Bank and Food Gatherers. The event, to be held at each of the chain’s area locations, is a celebration of the unveiling of three newly remodeled bakeries in the state.
No coupon is required to participate, but guests are encouraged to make a donation or a to their local food bank via collection canisters located next to each bakery’s register. Further information can be found at brueggers.com.
“Our guests in Michigan have been loyal fans for fifteen years, which is why we chose to make a significant investment in the market and give back to the community,” said James Greco, Bruegger’s CEO. “We’re thankful to have the opportunity to partner with Gleaners and help community members in need.”
Free Soup Day was created to celebrate Bruegger’s newly remodeled bakeries - located in Grosse Pointe and throughout Michigan. The bakeries feature refreshed décor and amenities designed to enhance the dine-in experience, including cozy chairs and a new community table, new dishware and a new ordering station with a wide array of fresh baked goods, including desserts and freshly baked breads. Additional remodels will be rolled out in Bruegger’s bakeries throughout the country over the next two years.
