Here is a highlight of the FREE activities you can do this weekend in the metro Detroit area and beyond:
Friday is the last day to enter the
Golla Tech Bag Giveaway. Golla has a wonderful new collection for 2011 that will keep all your tech toys in high fashion. The

On Saturday, Traveling Chef Randy Tomasacci will visit home and kitchen goods boutique
Acorn Farm in Milford from noon to 4 p.m. to demonstrate how to use Bittersweet Herb Farms’ infused oils, finishing sauces, flavored balsamics and seasoning packets. He’ll also offer entertaining and presentation tips using easy recipes and ideas. Free food samples will be provided.
If you are downtown on Saturday, then go on over to the
FREE African American History Day at the Detroit Historical Museum. Besides FREE admission, the first 50 folks to attend will get a FREE hot dog :)
Also on Saturday, take your kids to the
FREE Home Depot Kids Workshop from 9am- Noon. Those lucky kids will make a Heart Shelf which is a perfect gift just in time for Valentine's Day.

The
Motown Winer Blast is looking for Volunteers to help with the festive scheduled from 2/11 to 2/13. Two recruitment meetings will be held this Saturday, one from 10am to Noon and the other from 1pm to 3pm at the Gem Theater. If you become a volunteer, Motown Winter Blast organizers will provide complimentary incentives, hot chocolate, coffee and snacks throughout the festival. Volunteers will receive complimentary parking for training meetings on Saturday, February 5, as well as during volunteer shifts at the festival.
Sunday is Super Bowl Sunday and to celebrate there will be a
99 Cents Super Bowl Sale at Goodwill Canton Flagship Resale Store from Noon-6pm. Proceeds from the Goodwill “Super” Bowl Sale support Goodwill Industries of Greater Detroit employment education and training programs that help unemployed Metro Detroiters earn jobs.
Sunday is the last day of the Macy's GO RED FOR WOMEN sale. You can get a
20% discount at Macys all weekend if you wear the color red.
