In an effort to build and spread excitement about Detroit, Garden Court Condominiums today announced the launch of the “Believe in the D” video campaign. Designed to showcase the people, places and activities that make the city unique, participants are encouraged to share their passion about and for the city by filming and submitting a short video online at http://www.believeinthed.com/.
The winner will experience downtown Detroit living RENT-FREE at Garden Court Condominiums for one year. The contest runs through August 1 when the winning video is announced.
Participants from across the country are encouraged to share why they “Believe in the D,” or what traits make the city desirable, by capturing on video exciting, creative and often unnoticed places and events in the city of Detroit. The video can be up to two minutes in length and feature no more than one person.
“I was born and raised in the D. I’ve made a conscious decision to keep my businesses headquartered in the region,” said David Farbman, Garden Court Condominiums representative. “We have an unmatched pool of talented and creative people living here. Detroit offers such energy, culture, food, music and inspiring architecture. It is time to discover and rediscover this city, its different neighborhoods and hardworking residents. What better way to view Detroit’s treasures than though the eyes of those who love it?”
Blogging about the D
During the one-year, rent-free stay at Garden Court Condominiums, the winner will chronicle, through a blog, his or her day-to-day experiences living in the city and taking part in Detroit’s culture, dining and sporting events. Other video submissions to the video contest will be shared online, clearly demonstrating why Detroit and its people are special.

Now How Do I Enter?
Video contest contestants must be 21 years of age or older, a legal resident of Michigan or any other state in which contest is legal, and have lawful access to the Internet with a valid e-mail address at the time of entry. No purchase is necessary to enter or win the contest. Only one video per participant is permitted.
