Flame Heating, Cooling, Plumbing & Electrical will host an open seminar entitled “Home Efficiency Rebates and Incentives: What Every Homeowner Needs to Know” at its headquarters in Warren (2200 East 11 Mile Road) on Saturday, October 8,2011, from 9:00am-noon.
The seminar is part of the company’s Furnace Doctor educational series. The series focuses on educating homeowners about their home operation, maintenance and residential energy efficiency. “Being energy efficient and saving money is the name of the game,” said Gary Marowske, president of Flame. “What’s most surprising to consumers is that there are many organizations – from the government to public utilities and even furnace manufacturers – that want to reward those who use energy responsibly.” Flame representatives will be on hand to explain how consumers can save money for this winter through energyefficient tax credits and other consumer incentive programs.
Attendees will learn how they can make the best use of these tax credits and incentives to reduce their overall home comfort system installation or replacement costs, as well as shrink the amount of energy consumed by their home.
The tax credit for 2011 is 10 percent of the cost of the improvement, up to $500. There is now a $500 lifetime limit. Anyone who received more than $500 in the tax credits from 2006 - 2010, is not eligible for anything more.
In addition to tax credit benefits, Flame and Consumers Energy have partnered to offer customers up to $5,000 back from Consumers Energy when they complete Flame's Energy Efficiency. Saving could include up to:
- $650 back for tier 2 high efficiency furnace
- $325 back on floor insulation
- $275 from the installation of wall insulation
- $500 from installation of energy efficient windows§ $120 back from high efficiency water heater
Rebates are available from a variety of product manufactures as well. For additional information, or to make an appointment with a Flame technician, please call 586-582-1700.
Enjoy!
