Just the right size to be a tasty treat without over indulging...

One thing that I love about blogging is that I am often asked to try out new products.  And one of the products that I just had an opportunity to review are the new Baskin-Robbins Cake Bites.

Most people like to eat ice cream and cake together and Cake Bites are yummy mini-treats that combine cake and ice cream into the perfect package. They come in four different flavors, and are available at all Baskin-Robbins stores including the 20 Detroit-area Baskin-Robbins stores.

Baskin-Robbins Cake Bites come in a package of four with one cake bite in each of the following flavors:

- Double Chocolate – Chocolate ice cream over chocolate cake, enrobed with chocolate ganache and finished with a chocolate accent.

- Praline Caramel – Pralines ‘n Cream ice cream over white cake enrobed with white chocolate ganache and finished with caramel drizzle and chopped pralines.

- Chocolate Mint – Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream over chocolate cake, enrobed with chocolate ganache and finished with white chocolate drizzle.

- Vanilla Blondie – Vanilla ice cream over white cake, enrobed with white chocolate ganache and finished with chocolate accent.

I loved the Double Chocolate Cake Bite

My Experience...
I am a true chocolate lover so my favorite cake bite flavor was the Double Chocolate and I ended up licking my plate when I was finished. The Baskin-Robins chocolate ice cream was great and the chocolate cake was soft and yummy. The whole thing was great and it was just the right size to be a tasty treat without over indulging.

Vanilla Blondie

My next favorite flavor was the Vanilla Blondie.  I love white chocolate and the white chocolate on this Cake Bite was heavenly sweet.  The vanilla ice cream was sweet and perfect with the plain white cake.  Just a warning that, like most white chocolate, the Vanilla Blondie is very sweet so bring your sweet tooth for this one.

Don't let the size of these Cake Bites fool you. After eating one, I was totally full and could not take another bite.  For me, eating 1/2 of a cake bite would be the perfect treat after a meal.
