Metro Times Film-anthropy Event Returns for its 3rd Year!
The Free Movie Night and Food Drive at Palladium 12 will help raise food donations for Gleaner’s Food Bank.
On Thursday, December 8th, save some cash and come see a FREE movie at the 3rd Annual Metro Times Film-anthropy event. For one night at Palladium 12, a donation of three canned goods per person equals one free movie ticket!
Date: Thursday, December 8th
Time: 6 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. OR first 1,000 people to donate
Location: Palladium 12, 250 N. Old Woodward Ave., Birmingham
What to Bring: Three or more canned goods per person
The first 1,000 people to bring three canned goods will receive free admission into Palladium 12 to see the first run movie of their choice. This is an opportunity for individuals and families to give back to the hungry in their communities while having a fun night out together during the holidays.
For more than 34 years, Gleaners Community Food Bank of Southeastern Michigan (Gleaners) has been nourishing the community by feeding hungry people. Gleaners distributes more than 36 million pounds of emergency food to over 484 partner soup kitchens, shelters and pantries in Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, Livingston and Monroe counties. Of every dollar donated, Gleaners uses 96 cents for food and food programs. One dollar provides three meals for a hungry neighbor. Learn more at www.gcfb.org.
Metro Times recommends that guests arrive early as Film-anthropy is only open to the first 1,000 attendees. Metro Times also recommends donating quality canned goods that are not expired or will not expire within the upcoming months.
