Are you a geek - or just think that geeks are amusing? Then you will L-O-V-E the television show The Big Bang Theory because it it one of the funniest shows I have seen in quite a while.
The Big Bang Theory is life, geek style. The show follows University physicists Leonard and Sheldon who are super brains who love their geek toys. In one episode, Leonard and Sheldon are obsessed with getting a gadget from their favorite 1960’s film, and nothing completes a geek collection like a $800 time machine bought off of eBay, of course.
Are Geek Purchases More Fun? Or just more Funny?
While I'm no super brain, I have made a few geek purchases over the years that I now look back on and wonder what was I thinking. Although a Time Machine was not on my list, who really needs a collection of Elmo and Big Bird computer mice, USB drives made to look like now ancient Floppy Disks, or a portable 8 track cassette player? I think that last purchase puts me squarely in the geek category.
