For the finale of the 2012 Comerica Java & Jazz concert season, the Detroit Main Library has a special treat in store just for you! They bring you the Pathe Jassi, Sean Blackman & Nanny Assis, all on one stage to stimulate your musical senses.

Hear the Brazilian Creole vocals of Pathe Jassi of Senegal along with his amazing polyrhythmic Afro/Jazz bass and guitar playing. One of Detroit’s best-kept secrets, Jassi is sure to thrill the Comerica Java & Jazz crowd with his unique sound.

Sean Blackman is a Detroit native that has his own world hybrid acoustic guitar sound mixing the flair of Brazil with other Latin and Eastern sounds. As an established world jazz musician, Blackman continues to bring a cross-culture approach to the music.

Nanny Assis, from Bahia, Brazil - the heart beat of Brazil’s music scene, will also sing in his Portuguese as well as play guitar and traditional Brazilian percussion. Nanny Assis has an outstanding artistic background and has received critical recognition from the top percussionists and from the best world music personalities.

The Detroit Public Library's Comerica Java & Jazz Coffee House Series is now celebrating it's 12th season.  Make sure you join in on this final spectacular monthly concert that will happen at the Detroit Public Main Library on Woodward.
