Hundreds of women expected for evening of shopping and dining

As the seasons change, the Village of Milford invites ladies from across metro Detroit to the fall edition of the annual Ladies Night Out event. It is set to run from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday, October 4th in the downtown district.

Promising giveaways, exclusive discounts, storewide sales, freebies and complimentary snacks and beverages abound as over 35 Milford businesses participate at this annual event. Those in attendance are invited to collect stamps for the official Ladies Night Out passport at all participating shops.

By collecting 10 stamps and dropping the completed booklet off at any participating retailer, attendees will be entered for a chance to win one of 40 gift certificates worth at least $20 each and redeemable at a variety of Milford spots.

“The fall edition of Ladies Night Out is a perfect opportunity to enjoy some much needed time with the girls,” said Wendi Skolnik, Milford Business Association president, Ladies Night Out event organizer and owner of Nana’s Niche & Corner, one of the participating Milford businesses. “Gather up the ladies. Moms, daughters, sisters, aunts and of course girlfriends will enjoy a night of shopping and dining in beautiful downtown Milford.”

Patrons can expect specials at many of Milford’s restaurants as well as exclusive deals and previews of the latest merchandise at dozens of clothing boutiques, gift shops, jewelry stores and furniture outfitters, including The Clothing Cove at 414 N. Main Street; Bling Boutique at 361 N. Main Street and Rottermond Jewelers at 351 N. Main Street.

The evening is also a perfect opportunity to check out some of the newest businesses in downtown Milford, including Down Home Apparel at 400 N. Main Street; Max & Izzy’s Children’s Boutique and Bookstore at 115 W. Commerce; or restaurants like The Blue Grill at 426 N. Main Street and Palate at 449 N. Main Street.

“Ladies Night Out is a longtime tradition in downtown Milford. It’s a great fall event that introduces visitors to new stores, longtime favorites, but also to the fantastic quality of life Milford has to offer,” added Ann Barnette, executive director of the Village’s Downtown Development Authority. “We hope to see a great turnout on Oct. 4.”
