While I was attending the BlogHer conference back in August, I was invited to a party in a private suite overlooking the New York City skyline that was hosted by Hallmark. Hallmark has sponsored numerous giveaways on this blog in the past I could not wait to get to the party to see what new products Hallmark was planning to launch for the 2012 holiday season.

Justin Bieber rules...
A huge holiday display of Justin Bieber Greeting Cards greeted us as we walked in the door of the suite, along with a life size cutout of the pop star. No surprise that these cards went over well with the moms at the party who have tween and teen daughters.

New Holiday Gift Bags and paper by Hallmark

The Hallmark party suite featured an atrium with a 3 sided glass view of New York City. And front and center was a Christmas tree flanked by some of their new Hallmark holiday gift bags with coordinating tissue paper.

Hallmark has a new collection of interactive story buddy book sets which include a stuffed version of the animal that the story is about. Everyone fell in love with the Belle book and the huge stuffed version of Belle that sat in the suite's window.

We all got to play with the ornaments on the Christmas tree which included two that I loved - a Santa with a digital display that counted down to Christmas and a 1950's inspired working radio that plays holiday music.

Hallmark is of course known for their greeting cards and the suite was filled with lots of cute cards including my favorite which is a card with a wooden cut out on the front which turns into a Christmas tree ornament. I also love the pop-out cards (like the one above with the pop-out trailer and Christmas tree) because they are so unique.

And if you don't know what to do with all the Hallmark holiday cards you get from your friends and relatives, why not do what the Hallmark reps did - turn them into a holiday wreath with some wire and thumb tacks.

TEXT BANDS RULE!!!

Low Tech note passing with Fashionable Text Bands...
But the hit of the whole party were the new Hallmark Text Bands. Text Bands are a low tech version of text messaging. They allow the wearer to create messages up to ten characters in length and trade the messages with other text band wearers by bumping fists, giving high-5's or shaking hands. The message will scroll across the face of the Text Band, marque style. Text Bands take passing notes in school to a whole new level.

Text Bands come in all sorts of fun colors and styles to match the personality of the wearer. The bands are interchangeable and you can buy additional bands (without the electronic face) for $4.99 each. Imagine setting up a "No Talk Zone" for your kids and having them only communicate using Text Bands - Oh the peace and quiet. But I bet kids will want to wear these just because they are very fashionable.
