National jazz star, Alexander Zonjic and his band along with award-winning musical diva Kimmie Horne and her background singers will perform a free Mother’s Day Concert for the public in the beautiful Ravitz Foundation Main Atrium of Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 12.
The concert is part of the Hospital’s Healing Arts Program.
Flutist Alexander Zonjic is a jazz favorite across the country for his cool jazz grooves and exciting shows. He has shared the stage with such greats as Kenny G, Jeff Lorber and Keiko Matsui. He currently hosts a syndicated radio show called Alexander Zonjic from A to Z that airs on Canadian radio and WVMV’s HD2 Channel. He won the 2010 Album of the Year and Broadcaster of the Year at the Canadian Smooth Jazz Awards. In addition to performing in one hundred concerts a year, he is the artistic director for numerous music festivals.
