Since receiving my Blackberry Z10 smartphone as part of my involvement in the Verizon Savers Voices program, I have been playing with some of the neat features like the predictive keyboard that learns words as I type and using it as a superfast Verizon 4G LTE hotspot for my laptop and iPad while on the go.
But I have also been searching for apps on Blackberry World that can help me save money on movies, travel, shopping deals and more. And I have found 5 FREE apps that really fit my need to save -
I love shopping on Amazon because of their low prices on most items. So the Blackberry Search for Amazon app is a must have for finding deals. The app works much like the Amazon app on other platforms including being able to connect to your Amazon account and purchase items.

Gas prices have been on a roller coaster ride in the Metro Detroit area. So knowing where to get the lowest price is paramount for everyone. Enter Gas Buddy to the rescue!!!
Gas Buddy is the tried and true app available on most mobile platforms that tells you the price of gas at all the stations around your location. Don't buy gas without it.

One of my favorite travel apps for Android and Apple devices is On the Fly, which lets me search all the major airlines for the lowest prices on airline tickets. So I was happy to find a comparable app for Blackberry called Skyscanner.
Just like On the Fly, Skyscanner searches the flight databases of major airlines to provide a list of the lowest ticket prices, including all taxes. And Skyscanner goes one step further than On the Fly and also lets you purchase the tickets on the Skyscanner website.

I recently took a trip to Chicago to pick up my Blackberry Z10 device at Verizon headquarters. Although I did not drive (I took the Megabus), many other Verizon Savers Voices bloggers did drive. And many paid the $50 a night parking fee at our hotel. To bad they did not know about Best Parking.
Best Parking provides just what the name says. Enter an address and Best Parking provides all the parking prices of the lots around the address. Just for fun, I entered the address of the hotel the Verizon Saver Voices group stayed at in Chicago and found tons of parking lots within walking distance that provided overnight parking that was cheaper than our hotel.
Best Parking is only available in select major cities including Chicago and New York.

My son loves watching movies and television shows using Hulu Plus and Netflix. But not everyone wants to pay the $7.99 monthly fee for these services. Enter Crackle, the totally FREE movie service.
Crackle definitely does not have the vast catalog of movies and TV shows that Hulu Plus and Netflix has. But there is enough content to keep you occupied if you love older movies.
