Two McDonald’s are inviting the community to come out and celebrate their newly remodeled stores as part of a nationwide commitment to redesign most of its 14,000 U.S. restaurants. Both locations feature a new building exterior, landscaping that complements the community and a dual-lane drive-thru. Inside, customers will enjoy a contemporary color scheme that reflects the personality of the brand, comfortable lighting and free Wi-Fi internet.

Thursday, July 11, 9 a.m – 11 a.m.
16 Ecorse Road, Ypsilanti
Ypsilanti McDonald’s restaurant owner, Monique Vann-Brown, invites guests to walk the red carpet in celebration of the store’s new modern décor. McDonald’s Chief Happiness Officer, Ronald McDonald, will greet guests on the red carpet at 9 a.m. when the celebration begins.
A ribbon cutting ceremony will place take at 10 a.m. with a check presentation to the Ronald McDonald House of Ann Arbor to commemorate the event. From 9 to 11 a.m., customers will have the opportunity to sample delicious McDonald’s menu items and $1.99 small Real Fruit Smoothies.
As part of the grand re-opening celebration, the restaurant will offer various daily promotions from July 11 – 25, including: $1 hotcakes and $1.99 Big Mac® sandwiches on Sundays; $1.99 Big Mac® sandwiches on Mondays; $1.99 small McCafé Real Fruit Smoothies on Tuesdays; $1.99 Filet-O-Fish™ on Wednesdays; and $1.99 small McCafé Real Fruit Smoothies Thursdays through Saturdays.

The Detroit McDonald’s, operated by local business owner John Potts, will host a grand re-opening celebration with product sampling, special menu board promotions and an official ribbon-cutting ceremony at 3 p.m. As part of the grand re-opening, 50 percent of sales will be donated to the Ronald McDonald House of Detroit.
During the event customers will have the opportunity to sample menu board like our Bacon Habanero Ranch Quarter Pounder and the seasonal Dulce de Leche Shake, while enjoying live entertainment.
Customers will also be offered a free medium fries with the purchase of a new Quarter Pounder burger, $0.50 ice cream cones and 50 percent off all McCafé beverages.
