Voting in the Detroit City Council Election? MiVote can help! Election Day is Tuesday, November 5th!
In an effort to empower the citizens of Detroit in the City’s first Council by district election in nearly 100 years, MiVote has produced eight debates featuring all 18 candidates for City Council.
With the City facing bankruptcy and a new process for electing City Council members, it is important that voters make an informed decision on Election Day. This MiVote initiative was designed to be a resource for voters in Detroit by providing information on the candidates running in their district and the major issues facing the community. Journalists Vickie Thomas of WWJ Radio (950 AM) and Jerome Vaugn of WDET Radio (101.9 FM) moderate the sessions.
