Apply for the Junior League of Detroit 2014 Centennial Scholarship...
In 2014, the Junior League of Detroit (JLD) will celebrate 100 years of service. One Hundred scholarships of $1,000 will be awarded to high school graduating seniors.
To be eligible, the students must plan to continue their education at public/ private colleges or vocational schools. Scholarships will be awarded to students who have a GPA of 2.5 or better and volunteer in their communities.
The scholarships are open to Wayne County, Michigan residents and students attending high schools in Wayne County, Michigan.
Scholarship award checks will be payable to colleges in the students' names.

Students awarded these scholarships are those who demonstrate an interest in and commitment to volunteerism in addition to their academic achievements.
Both male and female applicants are eligible.
All information provided will be kept confidential. Factors considered include:
- GPA of 2.5 or better
- Extracurricular activities, community service and work experience
Awards & honors
- Two recommendations from teachers, coaches or volunteer coordinators
- Financial need (include the FAFSA SAR, student aid report number)
A COMPLETED APPLICATION INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING
- Completed application form
- Official transcript from your school
- Two Recommendation letters from teachers, coaches or volunteer coordinators
