The Salvation Army of Metro Detroit Celebrates Doing the Most Good® Week, May 10-18 with FREE Uber Rides!
The Salvation Army of Metro Detroit is hosting the 9th Annual Doing the Most Good® Week, May 10-18, which is all about celebrating the small courtesies, big gestures and loads of kindness exhibited by our community members year round. “This annual observance is a thank you to those who are doing good things and a reminder for people to go out in their communities and donate their time and resources to helping neighbors in need" says Major Mark Anderson, general secretary and Metro Detroit area commander of The Salvation Army of Metro Detroit.
To celebrate Doing the Most Good® Week, Tech company Uber is partnering with The Salvation Army to offer new Uber customers a FREE ride (up to $25 off) using promo code: DMGW.
Uber is an entirely new and modern way to travel at your fingertips where you can request a ride using the Uber app on your smartphone and get picked up within minutes. Using this on-demand service means no reservations required and no waiting in taxi lines and you pay for the ride (including the tip) all with the Uber smartphone app.
And for every new Uber customer who uses the special promo code from May 10 – 18, Uber will donate $5 to The Salvation Army to support the good work in feeding and sheltering people across metro Detroit.
