Local business owner Jim Thrower will host an official carnival-themed grand opening celebration of his newest McDonald’s restaurant located at 35111 Michigan Avenue in Wayne from noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 28, 2014. The doors to the brand new store, which took more than 2.5 months to construct, will officially open to customers at 6 a.m. on Friday, June 27.
“As a McDonald’s restaurant owner in metro Detroit for more than 25 years, I am thrilled to unveil a new, dynamic restaurant in the Wayne community,” said Jim Thrower, Wayne McDonald’s restaurant owner. “I would like to invite the local community to come in and enjoy a delicious meal while helping us celebrate the official grand opening of our new and modern restaurant.”
To commemorate the grand opening celebration, Thrower will make a donation to Ronald McDonald House Charities and offer the first 100 guests in line a complimentary McCafé Card providing cardholders with FREE McCafé Coffee through January 31, 2016.
Prizes during the family-friendly event include McDonald’s Arch Cards, an iPod Shuffle and a brand new bike. During the first week of business, June 27 – July 1, dine-in customers will enjoy a FREE small McCafé coffee for breakfast (limit one per customer).
The restaurant also will offer four weeks of promotions beginning June 27 through July 27, including Buy One Get One FREE Ice Blended Beverages every day from 2 – 4 p.m.; FREE Peaches & Crème Pie with the purchase of any Extra Value Meal; FREE medium fries and soft drink with the purchase of a Bacon Clubhouse sandwich or Premium McWrap; $.50 ice cream cones; $1.99 Happy Meals every Wednesday from 4 – 7 p.m. during McFamily Fun Nights; Buy One Get One Free Sausage McGriddles sandwich every Saturday and Sunday;
Highlights of the new restaurant include a seating area featuring a flat screen TV and free Wi-Fi access throughout the restaurant.
