Rock and roll returns to the Detroit Riverfront this summer for the annual Chevrolet Rockin’ on the Riverfront summer concert series. Once again, the lineup is sure to satisfy classic rock fans who look forward to this annual event.

Kicking off Friday, July 11, the Chevrolet Rockin’ on the Riverfront concert series will offer SIX FREE consecutive Friday evenings of rock and roll fun. Located in the heart of the city, between the GM Renaissance Center and Detroit River, the event has become a summer destination for dining and entertainment in Detroit.

In partnership with Detroit's #1 for Classic Rock 94.7 WCSX-FM, the Chevrolet Rockin’ on the Riverfront will amaze rock audiences with Friday night shows from 8-10 p.m. July 11 through Aug. 15.

This year’s scheduled lineup includes:

- July 11: The Guess Who, Canada’s first international rock band, has been jammin’ since 1962 with hits like American Woman and These Eyes.

-July 18: Leon Russell, the rock and roll ‘renaissance man’ and hall of famer, has written a song for you over his four-plus decade career.

- July 25: Starship has been scoring major hits across the U.S. with lead singer Mickey Thomas since the early 1980s. Featured in the film Mannequin, Starship’s 1987 song Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now also reached No. 1.
