On Friday, November 6th, 2015 at 7 p.m. the night sky above Oakland Mall will be lit up by FREE Christmas fireworks. The spectacular fireworks display, sponsored by Macy’s, will welcome in the Christmas season at Oakland Mall.
The celebration will start outside with the fireworks and will be followed by Santa’s parade, led by the Southfield Lathrup Marching Band. Bleachers will be set up on the Chicago Road side of Macy’s and guests should arrive early to get a good seat.
The parade will drop Santa off at Macy’s and continue to march throughout the mall. Macy’s will host in store festivities for the rest of the evening including music and entertainment. Santa will be available to meet with children in the men’s department on the lower level of Macy’s for the rest of the evening.
Oakland Mall will also begin to run the Oakland Mall Express at 7:30 Friday evening. Kids will have an opportunity to take a ride on the train through the magical Christmas Village ($$). Making a special appearance from 7:30pm -9pm are everyone’s favorite Snow Princesses, who will be available for photos ($$).
