DPSCD - AUGUST 13TH FREE DAY AT MICHIGAN SCIENCE CENTER
Come out on Saturday, August 13th to celebrate teachers and back-to-school with free general admission at the Michigan Science Center from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Enjoy 250+ hands-on exhibits, live stage shows, the Smithsonian’s Spark!Lab, and more!
Detroit Public Schools Community District will be at the museum with enrollment information and the Detroit Health Department will offer free health immunizations on a first come, first served basis between 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
The first 500 student visitors will receive free school supplies courtesy of Office Depot!
Free busing will be provided every one hour on the ½ hour. Pickups will run from 9:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. and the last bus will leave MiSci at 4 p.m.
The following schools are pickup and dropoff locations:
- Martin Luther King High School, 3200 E Lafayette St, Detroit, MI 48207
- Fisher Magnet Lower Academy, 15510 E State Fair Ave, Detroit, MI 48205
- Priest Elementary School, 7840 Wagner Ave, Detroit, MI 48210
- Renaissance High School, 6565 Outer Dr W, Detroit, MI 48235
In addition, free hourly shuttles will run every half hour between MiSci and Benjamin Carson High School at 571 Mack Ave, Detroit, MI 48201.
